First approval of fixed security barsets to LPS 1175
Simbars UK Ltd and Lowrey Contractors Ltd have jointly developed a modular range of fixed security barsets that are the first of their type to achieve approval to LPS1175: Issue 6 - Requirements and testing procedures for the LPCB approval and listing of intruder resistant building components, strongpoints, security enclosures and free-standing barriers.
The Simbars - Lowrey range is a relatively new entrant to the security products market and, in obtaining approval for their barset to Security Rating 3, the two companies have demonstrated their ability to enhance the security performance provided by everyday security products beyond that traditional achieved.
Commenting on behalf of Lowrey Contractors, John Welch said 'We are currently in the process of developing a wide range of security solutions to achieve a number of security ratings defined in LPS 1175 and value the rigorous process of assessment and approval our product undergo in order to achieve LPCB approval and Red Book listing'.
