'Exemplary' masterplan for Beijing Green Building Park

Site Sustainability Manager training and accreditation scheme

A new BRE training and accreditation scheme will provide a mechanism for managing construction sites in an environmentally efficient manner, and give site management teams the confidence to achieve BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes standards. Those wanting to become Site Sustainability Managers and join the new scheme, will need to undertake two days of training at BRE – the first of these courses are on 24-25 September. Conference to address pressures on healthcare sector

The Healthcare Estates IHEEM Annual Conference in Manchester on 9-10 October will focus on delivering cost effective estates that can deal with the growing pressures on the healthcare sector. The event will include a joint presentation on BREEAM from Martin Townsend of BRE Global and Stephen Naylor, Head of Estates at NHS South of Tyne and Wear. Shopfitting sustainability research

BRE and the National Association of Shopfitters are conducting research into the embodied environmental impact of metal display shelving, with the aim of generating benchmarks and best practice guidance for retail clients and shopfittings suppliers.
