CE Marking and the EU referendum result
Following the result of the UK referendum to leave the European Union, BRE Global Ltd remains fully committed to our customers and we will provide the support that they require to deliver their products to the market.
BRE Global Ltd is and remains an EU Notified Body for testing and attesting conformity of products under the Construction Products Regulation, Marine Equipment Directive, Pressure Equipment Directive and Transportable Pressure Equipment Directive. We are also and will remain an EU Technical Assessment Body for the Construction Products Regulation. Whatever happens in the negotiations between the UK Government and the EU, we will ensure that this status is maintained. As such we are confident that any CE marking projects that are currently underway with us or are in the pre-contractual discussion stages will be delivered and will remain relevant and acceptable for trade between and within the EU.
Over the coming weeks and months, we will be working with all the relevant authorities in the UK and Europe, including CEN in the standardisation area. BRE Global staff are highly respected, valued and active contributors within CEN and ISO standards committees and we are fully committed to continuing this essential work to deliver technically robust and relevant standards. Through our international business connections, networks and collaborations we will support you to maximise your outreach and can also offer broader support in new emerging areas where BRE is leading developments including BIM and environmental sustainability of materials, products and buildings. We will be in contact with you with up-dates as appropriate.
LPCB certification of products and services and BRE Global Ltd testing services will be unaffected.
If you have any specific concerns, then please don’t hesitate to contact us.
