Acoustics laboratory and field testing
The BRE acoustics team undertakes testing programmes to help manufacturers with product development, to establish compliance with standards and to inform design teams key decisions or product certification under the Construction Products Regulation (CPR).
We carry out our testing to the most recent British (BS) and International (ISO) standards (for more info go to British Standards Institute and International Standards Organization). The test report you will receive can be written to include your product or system information, making it easier to cross-reference with other tests that have been completed.
BRE undertakes a wide variety of acoustic testing both within our purpose-built acoustics laboratory and remotely on-site to suit our clients’ needs. All the work we perform is to high standards of performance and quality. Our Acoustics laboratory is a UKAS accredited test laboratory No. 0578.

Our large anechoic chamber (pictured above, and also in this video) is available for hire, clients have used this for a wide variety of projects in the past.
Sound power and sound intensity measurements (in our anechoic chamber if necessary), or in situ if the machine being measured can not be moved.
