Site Sustainability Manager - This event has already finished

10 - 11 September 2014
BRE Scotland

Did you know that under BREEAM 2014 New Construction Scheme the main contractor can secure ONE BREEAM credit by providing a qualified and registered BRE Academy Site Sustainability Manager? Not only does it provide a credit under the new scheme, it also helps to ensure that the design aspirations for the building are met.

Details :
A great deal of pressure is placed on the design team to achieve low carbon and sustainable buildings. Turning these designs into reality is a challenge for the construction team. This new course from BRE provides vital skills and understanding, offering a key mechanism for helping to close the gap between design and in-operation performance.
Having a qualified SSM on site helps to ensure quality in project delivery, helps to minimise the environmental impacts of the construction process as well as achieving the intentions of the building designers. BRE’s new and innovative qualification provides a mechanism to ensure that the construction site is managed in an environmentally efficient manner, ensuring the site teams are confident in achieving the exacting regulations and requirements of environmental certification schemes, for example BREEAM.
