BES 6001 - The Framework Standard for Responsible Sourcing Stakeholder Discussion - This event has already finished
Conference Suite, Building 016, BRE Watford, Bucknalls Lane, Watford WD25 9NH
The construction industry is a major consumer of resources and has a large impact on the sustainability of the UK and the wider world. Because of this, BRE Global developed a Framework Standard for Responsible Sourcing (BES 6001) along with an associated independent third-party certification scheme. This standard provides manufacturers with a means by which their products can be independently assessed and certified as being responsibly sourced.
Since it was first released, the standard has evolved to ensure its effectiveness. The last update took place in 2016 (Issue 3.1) and more recently, BRE has formed plans to update it further. A draft is currently being formed to reveal the potential changes that will be made to the standard. Building on this, a stakeholder discussion has been arranged to ensure no queries are neglected. This discussion will take place on the 14th December 2017 and will be held at BRE in Watford. This is an opportunity for you to share your views on the forthcoming update and obtain answers to any queries you may have regarding the new version.
Although payment is not necessary for this event, if you wish to attend, please register (via the ‘Book Now’ link on this page) so that refreshments can be catered for.
We hope to see you there!
The discussion will run from 13:30 to 16:30.
