50th anniversary of UK national housing surveys - This event has already finished

10 October 2017
BRE Watford

Details :

The English Housing Survey and Welsh Housing Conditions Survey celebrate their 50th birthday this year – the first being the House Condition Survey, England and Wales, 1967.

To mark the occasion, the BRE Trust is sponsoring a free conference at BRE on October 10th at which we will be looking back to 1967 and the progress that has been made in improving the UK housing stock since then, and also forward to the type of housing we would expect to see in another 50 years’ time.  We have speakers lined up from all the four UK national housing surveys, plus representatives from DCLG, BEIS, CIH, CIEH and BRE. There will be complementary refreshments plus an optional tour of the BRE Innovation Park.

The conference should appeal to anyone who has an interest in the performance and condition of the housing stock, including those involved in housing policy, managing social and private housing, and public health.

The conference is now close to capacity for attendance but you can e-mail Louise Jamal to see if space is available.
