University Campus St Albans

University Campus St Albans (UCSA) is a joint venture between the University of Hertfordshire and Oaklands College. UCSA offers an innovative and flexible part-time degree courses for people with busy lives seeking to enhance their professional development. Our courses lead to degrees developed with and validated by the University of Hertfordshire.

The Programme:

This innovative work related programme is designed for people within the private, public and not-for-profit sectors who are interested in developing their own knowledge, capabilities and effectiveness to enhance their leadership role. The programme has been developed in association with:

  • The BRE Academy
  • Grant Thornton (Growth Accelerator)
  • The Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Board
  • Welwyn Hatfield Chamber of Commerce


The one year programme will cost £5,500. (Excluding fees for professional registration and certification.) There is further cost of £500 for undertaking the Recognition of Prior Learning route to recognise and accredit prior experience.

 Intended Audience:

This programme is specifically designed for people who are already in employment within substantive leadership or management roles and typically do not have a degree. There is also a route for existing graduates looking for a challenging and highly relevant Leadership Programme.

It is also open to talented people who aspire to these roles and typically are seeking to enhance their career prospects through progression from foundation degree (or an equivalent qualification) to gain an honours degree.

Successful completion of the programme may make you eligible to be considered for further study on a Master’s degree or MBA at the Hertfordshire Business School.

The programme has two award routes that are taught together.
