Introducing BRE's Educational Visits programmes
*** New Fire Safety and Fire Science programme for Key Stage 3 launched ***
Looking for innovative and stimulating ways to help pupils learn outside the classroom?
Well look no further than BRE, in Watford. Using the specialist buildings and laboratories located on our site in Garston, near Watford we are able to host half day educational visits which support the delivery of the National Curriculum and the Construction and Built Environment Diploma.
We welcome visits from schools, home education groups and colleges, and provide programmes covering the following topics:
- Environmental Change and Sustainable Development
- Energy Efficiency and Renewable Technologies
- Fire Safety and Fire Science
- Materials and their properties
Each programme of learning is prepared and hosted by BRE staff who have all been CRB checked and trained as ambassadors for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.
Copies of our sample programmes can be downloaded from the Programmes page.
"Just a quick note to say a huge THANK YOU for a really good visit to BRE today.
Please accept our sincerest thanks and pass these on also to the ambassadors and the gentlemen on duty in the classroom area. We were made so welcome and the learning opportunities were outstanding. It was such a great day. The children and adults learnt so much!
We are really grateful for all your help. Right from the initial phone call to book the visit to being escorted safely to the coach - we were treated so well and with such excellent organisation.
Many, many thanks once again.
