Nick Tune appointed to board of international BIM standards group

BRE Director Nick Tune has been appointed to the board of buildingSMART International, the organisation responsible for developing global standards for open BIM (building information modelling).

Nick is currently Director of buildingSMART UK & Ireland following BRE’s acquisition of the organisation in January of this year.

He said ‘buildingSMART International are the pioneers - they’ve been trailblazing the open BIM agenda for many years. I’m pleased to be appointed to their board when BIM is at such an important stage of roll out in the UK ’
