Flood Resilient Planning & Building

A training course on 20-21 October at BRE in Watford will address the main issues for flood resilient planning and building.

Flooding is the most significant natural catastrophe for the built environment and the people of the United Kingdom.  Climate change will only exacerbate the problems of flooding and result in more frequent occurrences with greater life and property losses being experienced.

The BRE Training course, 'Flood Resilient Planning and Building' developed with the support of the BRE Trust, has been especially structured and developed in order to guide delegates through legislation, planning requirements, building standards, new build issues and repair of existing buildings to increase resilience.

The training course also incorporates recent BRE research and will be of interest to a range of professionals in the construction industry and the flood management field.

To launch the course an early bird discount offer is available until the 30 September, saving £75 on the course fee.  Enter the code: summersaver10 during the online booking process.

For further details of the course click here or email train@bre.co.uk or call 01923 664829.
