Rising star wins International Research Award for Young Constructors
Natacha Redon of Turner and Townsend has been presented the inaugural Royal Charter International Research Award for Young Constructors.
Jointly presented by the BRE Trust and the Worshipful Company of Constructors (WCC), the monetary award is given to an exceptional young individual from the construction sector to undertake an innovative, topical international study relating to construction.
Guy Hammersley, of the BRE Trust said ‘The BRE Trust and the WCC created this award with the aim of encouraging emerging talent in the construction sector to come forward. We received some exceptional submissions from which Natacha’s was deemed the overall winner by the judging panel because of the quality, ingenuity and impact of her proposed study which aims to transform the way we manage the delivery of sustainable buildings. ‘
Natacha’s study looks at creating a project performance model that gives project managers a way of managing the successful delivery of a range of required outcomes for an energy efficient building. It will be conducted across Austria, Germany, France and the UK.
She will receive £7,000 towards the cost of her study which will subsequently be published by the BRE Trusts publishing company; IHS BRE Press.
A summary of the final report will also be published in Constructors Journal, the journal of the Worshipful Company of Constructors.
Natacha received her award on 12th February, at the annual Worshipful Company of Constructors Livery & Awards Dinner at Stationers Hall in London.
