First candidates awarded the BRE BTEC Professional Diploma in Fire Risk Assessment

BRE Training is delighted to announce that the first candidates for this qualification have now successfully completed and have been awarded the Level 4 BTEC Professional Diploma in Fire Risk Assessment.

These  first successful candidates have demonstrated that they can deliver fire risk assessments and can undertake risk assessments of an in-house portfolio or as consultants acting as a ‘competent person' as defined by the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

Feedback from the course has been excellent. The Level 4 BTEC in Fire Risk Assessment has set a new benchmark for industry professionals ensuring that BTEC qualifications are employer led and industry focussed. Testimonials from some of the candidates:

"The course as a whole, tutors, assessor, support network and the BRE venue were excellent. I would highly recommend the BRE for anyone wishing to gain a qualification."

"I was very pleased with the level of service received throughout the process"

The BRE qualification meets national standards and addresses non-fire engineered buildings with simple and more complex layouts including those over 5 storeys, with public access and higher risk occupancies. This includes buildings in which the occupants may be asleep or unfamiliar with the premises (hotels, staff accommodation), and also includes shops and shopping centres, offices, museums, leisure centres, and other large assembly buildings, hotels, care homes. The course applies BRE's expertise and international reputation in fire research, consultancy, testing and experience of investigating major fires. BRE helped DCLG to draft a number of their guidance documents for the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and helped the Department of Health draft their Guidance on fire risk assessments in complex healthcare premises.

The next five day training course followed by assessment is 6th to 10th February 2012. To book a place or read more about this course click here.
