Providing a bridge between countries to exchange knowledge and enable collaboration
BRE’s Watford Innovation Park is a flagship development that embraces a network of existing and future Parks in the UK and around the world.
The Innovation Park in Ebbw Vale, Wales is already an important innovation demonstrator. It will be joined by Innovation Parks in Scotland, Brazil, China, Canada and the US, which BRE is now in the process of developing.
The aim of the network is to provide a bridge for exchanging knowledge, to enable collaboration and unlock exporting potential.
Ebbw Vale, Wales
Built on the site of an old steelworks, this Welsh Future Homes project comprises three low-carbon sustainable homes and visitor centre, with the aim of kick-starting Wales’ green economy.
Ravenscraig, Scotland
Located on a former steelworks now being regenerated into a new town, two acres have been given over to 12 demonstration buildings that show how Scotland can meet future energy needs.
Beijing, China
BRE is developing a master plan for the Beijing Green Building Park, which will include 20 innovative buildings and a sustainable landscape.
Brasilia, Brazil
The Park for Sustainability and Innovation for the Built Environment (PISAC) will showcase new construction methods and innovative technologies, which are affordable, efficient and sustainable.
Ontario, Canada
BRE Canada is currently investigating the location of an Innovation Park that will enable Canadian companies to innovate in a growing green economy.
Portland, USA
BRE and the Portland Development Commission, is developing a series of demonstration projects to test and enhance new clean technology that enhance the city’s reputation as a world leader.
