National Green Specification Seminar - This event has already finished

The cost for this conference is £70.50 (including VAT)

30 January 2006 - BRE, Garston, Watford

Details :

The UK construction industry currently creates around 100 million tonnes of  waste per year.  To become more resource efficient, the industry needs to reduce and recover much of the waste it produces.  A key way of minimising and managing construction and demolition waste is to design out waste in the first instance and specify recycled products where feasible, therefore closing the loop.  The National Green Specification (NGS) DTI funded project has worked to assist this.

NGS has created specifications for recycled building products and workmanship clauses for waste management activities on construction and demolition sites. The specifications and clauses will aid designers and specifiers in making informed choices in terms of the protection of the environment, material resources, embodied energy, life expectancy and durability.

NGS is primarily intended for use by Construction Industry Design Professionals which include architects, civil and structural engineers, manufacturers, suppliers, contractors and sub-contractors, self-builders, clients, and financiers.

This event is designed to inform people of the outcomes of the NGS project and its plans for future continuing work in the area of sustainable construction.

Programme :
Registration will start at 12.30pm with Lunch.  Conference to begin at 13.30pm and closing at 16.00pm
