Effective relationship management and communications styles - This event has already finished

15 May 2014
BRE, Watford, Hertfordshire

This event will demonstrate the value of diverse communication and leadership styles, and highlight which skills and traits can be built upon to help attendees become better communicators and manage daily working relationships.

Details :

The event is the last in a series of four organised by the BRE Women’s Network committee. The event series has been structured in four themes: Inspire, Involve, Learn and Lead and was developed in consultation with BRE staff based on what was desired from a women’s network at BRE and the wider built environment industry.  The BRE Women’s Network are acting as a coordinating group, hosting events around the four themes and highlighting existing activities to involve and support women working in the built environment for the benefit of BRE’s staff and partners. We are currently planning our strategy for the second year of the BRE Women’s Network. Once finalised, we will advertise on the BRE events page and via our BRE Women’s Network group on LinkedIn.

This “Lead” event has been developed following feedback from the previous three events, were delegates identified where they feel they have skills gaps that are preventing them from fulfilling their potential. This hands-on workshop is designed to get delegates to learn from each other and build professional relationships within our industry, as well as gaining valuable skills to support them in furthering their careers.

The event will be facilitated by Sharon Kerby who specialises in coaching and business development. Sharon has worked in the construction sector for nearly 25 years. Before retraining as an Executive Coach, she enjoyed a successful career as a PR consultant, founding her own award-winning agency and working with blue chip companies including Saint-Gobain, Bryant Homes and PricewaterhouseCoopers.  As an Executive Coach, she works with clients to improve individual and organisational performance, maximise potential and drive change.  She specialises in leadership development and coaching around change and risk.
