Defining Sustainable Development Within the NPPF - This event has already finished
BRE, Watford
While the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) has been well received for its emphasis on local decision-making and urban redevelopment, it has also been criticised for leaving certain elements of policy open to interpretation. This ambiguity makes planning and decision-making very difficult and could potentially leave the door open for weak, watered-down sustainability strategies going forward.
The NPPF makes it clear that delivering sustainable development is still an overarching outcome of the planning system, so why not come to our free seminar to find out about available tools and techniques that can be used to measure & control the quality of developments being brought forward. This means that if we have to use valuable land for new developments, we can make sure it is all done in the best way possible, leaving a sustainable legacy for all.
As part of this exciting event, we would like love to help you solve your own NPPF challenges during our afternoon discussion session. We have allocated 30 minutes at the end of the day when delegates can raise questions on the NPPF that they are facing in their own area of work.
If you would like to use the collective experience of our audience of experts on your particular challenge then first register for the event online and then e-mail sustainablecommunities@bre.co.uk to register your question with us. We look forward to hearing from you.
