BRE Home Condition Survey training - This event has already finished
One Day Course (9-5pm)
12 August 2010 - BRE Watford
Only about 20% of buyers currently commission a survey on the house they propose to buy. Solicitors and conveyancers have an obligation to advise their clients to obtain a survey. Surveys often pay back by identifying defects that allow a negotiated reduction in the purchase price.
Against this background the Residential Property Surveyors Association (RPSA) are making arrangements to offer the Home Condition Survey (a buyers report based on the HCR) to home buyers through a network of solicitors and conveyancers. This will be piloted from 28th June with a view to launch in September.
This course is for members of the BRE Home Inspector Certification Scheme who are RPSA members who wish to take part in the pilot and take advantages of the opportunities there are to offer the HCS to home buyers. It will refresh their HI skills and prepare them to use the HCS report form.
