Green futures for existing buildings
A series of free events designed to support and enable the sustainable refurbishment of existing buildings in the East Midlands. Funded by East Midlands Development Agency and delivered by BRE and EC Harris. This series is also working in conjunction with the Sustainable Construction iNet. The iNet helps small to medium sized businesses to improve their business performance and profitability through innovating. We can offer expertise, networking opportunities and funding to help you.
The refurbishment of existing buildings is a crucial yet often neglected subject within sustainable architecture with attention more focused on new buildings. Many older buildings waste large amounts of energy and provide poor internal conditions for their occupants.
The ‘Green Futures' project, an East Midlands Development Agency initiative, has been specifically developed to raise the local market's knowledge of sustainable development and increase implementation across the region.
This series of free events, will demonstrate the commercial business case for sustainability, supported by local examples, and provide attendees with the knowledge and tools to make it possible.
