2 February 2010 - Crowne Plaza, Nottingham
Green roofs have multiple benefits and even when one is prioritised, most of the others are gained as well. Attributes of green roofs include; engineered levels of rainwater attenuation; reduced energy consumption; prolonged standard roofing material life; reduced sound transfer; improved air quality; creation of wildlife habitat.
Delegates will be provided with an introduction to green roof technologies and will learn about the benefits, opportunities and the Green Roof Code. Green roofs are the most accessible current sustainable technology and they can be installed on new builds to add BREEAM points or on existing buildings to add value and reduce running costs.
This green roof session will look to provide an introduction and history to green roof technology, to fill out the benefits to modern projects and to look at typical build-up of green roof systems. There will also be an opportunity to have your questions answered.
Attendees should be construction industry Professionals, Facilities Managers and Developers, and those interested in being ahead of the game with new construction technology.
