The course includes the provision of pre-course material describing the general background to BREEAM. This material is relevant to all versions of BREEAM (including EcoHomes). All candidates completing the course receive a CPD certificate. The price for the course is £750 + VAT. This includes lunch and refreshments on Day 1 and Day 2. Course location: At BRE, Garston, Watford unless otherwise specified. Course dates are given on the sample agenda (attached) and on the BREEAM website www.bre.co.uk/events and from the BREEAM Office. Numbers on each course are limited and so early booking is advised. The last confirmation date is one week before the start of the course. Courses can be held in other locations if there is sufficient demand and appropriate facilities (contact the BREEAM Office for details).
Exam and Test Assessment: Please note that if you are wishing to become a qualified and licensed EcoHomes assessor you will require certification against the Competent Persons Scheme. This is provided by BRE Certification which is a sister company to BRE. For certification you will need to complete a two-stage examination comprising of (i) an examination taken under controlled classroom conditions and (ii) a test assessment (after the course) which is submitted to BRE. An application form for Certification against the Competent Persons Scheme is then completed after you have successfully passed the two-stage examination. Please note that it is a requirement that once qualified your organisation must hold a BREEAM licence agreement in order to carry out EcoHomes assessments. A copy of the BREEAM Licence Agreement is available from the BREEAM Office.
The price for completing and marking the exam and test assessment is £300 plus VAT.
