Open to all Home Inspectors
The BRE Global Home Inspector Certification Scheme is open to all Home Inspectors no matter where they obtained their qualifications.
The BRE Global Home Inspectors Certification Scheme is the home of the independent Home Inspector. It provides the quality framework that is needed which, together with technical support from BRE specialists, to allow Home Inspectors to operate independently in an open market.
As a member of the BRE Global Home Inspectors Certification Scheme there is automatic entry to the BRE Global Accreditation Scheme for Domestic Energy Assessors at no additional charge.
This is because the EPC is now separate from the HCR and regulated by the Accreditation Scheme for Energy Assessors. This change means that HCRs can now only be lodged through a Home Inspectors Certification Scheme and EPCs can now only be lodged through an Accreditation Scheme for Energy Assessors and each report would be subject to the standards and the audit process of the relevant scheme. Of course Home Inspectors are qualified to undertake both the HCR and the EPC hence the need for dual accreditation to allow you to lodge both reports.
This BRE Global scheme is accredited by UKAS.
